Research is one of the main pillars of the EHDEN Foundation’s mission. The Foundation exists to enable high‑quality, transparent, and reproducible real‑world evidence research across Europe, building on a large, federated network of harmonised data sources. By supporting the use of common data standards, open‑source standard tools, and shared methodological approaches, the Foundation helps ensure that research is robust and comparable across diverse settings.
Through its research activities, the EHDEN Foundation connects academia, industry, regulators, and data partners to address real‑world research questions at scale. The EHDEN Foundation fosters collaboration, methodological innovation, and responsible data use, while maintaining a strong focus on scientific integrity and public benefit. Together with education and capacity building, research forms the backbone of the Foundation’s work to advance trustworthy evidence generation in healthcare.
Currently the EHDEN Foundation is participating in European funded projects, for example, the IHI-GREG project.
