The EHDEN Academy launches April 23rd!

We are excited to announce that the EHDEN Academy will launch publicly on Thursday, 23rd of April!

The EHDEN Academy aims to be a resource for all those who generate and utilise healthcare data, work technically with it (e.g. ETL and mapping of data to the OMOP common data model), and are involved in methodological development and the use of standardised analytical tools within the OHDSI framework.

Development of the EHDEN Academy started early 2019 as an online learning tool to train SMEs from the EHDEN open calls for SMEs. The initial learning path is focussed on data harmonisation, but many more courses and other learning paths will be added in the months to come.

As our introductory course, the 'EHDEN Foundation' course describes all aspects of the EHDEN project in depth. Additionally, it describes how EHDEN and OHDSI work together and fit in the RWE landscape as well as some of the key concepts in this field.

Our second course, ‘OHDSI-in-a-box’, teaches you how to deploy an instance of the OHDSI tools together with sample data for personal learning and training environments.

Our OMOP CDM and Standardized Vocabularies Course will teach you all there is to know about the OMOP CDM, the OMOP vocabularies, the layout of the CDM and some key concepts like the era logic.

Our ETL course describes the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process to harmonise your raw observational data to the OMOP CDM and covers the tools available for designing an ETL logic, as well as examples and guidelines to implement and test the ETL.

Our OHDSI Infrastructure course describes the infrastructure and tools used to work with patient-level data converted to the OMOP We cover the process for installing and configuring the OHDSI's WebAPI and Atlas tools for standardized analytics against the OMOP CDM.
