The EHDEN Consortium is proud to congratulate its project coordinator, Prof. Peter Rijnbeek, on his recent appointment as the Chair of the Department of Medical Informatics and now also Full Professor of Medical Informatics at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Prof. Rijnbeek is a health data scientist with more than twenty-five years of experience in computer science and developing real world data solutions. He is an expert on the OMOP Common Data Model and is leading the European Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) Chapter.
“I’m truly honoured to be given the opportunity to lead this great team at Erasmus MC and build on the successes we have accomplished together. A special thank you must go to Prof. Johan van der Lei for his ongoing support, dedication and leadership over the last twenty years,” said Prof. Rijnbeek.
